5 Ways to Be Your Own Valentine

Check out my Heart Shaped Love images on Pinterest!

Happy Valentine's Day lovely people! I personally think that every day should be filled with LOVE... so making one special day to celebrate all things romantic is a little bit silly but fun nevertheless.

Sean and I have been thinking a lot about romance + relationships recently since we wrote our manuscript for Hay House about LOVE (and another secret topic) and because we're about to launch a Twin Flames compilation book in the Adventures In Manifesting series. We've found that there is one underlying theme to attracting true love into your life.

Whether you're single or have a lover then it's important to love you first. Without a healthy level of self love and acceptance then you will most likely be needy, high maintenance, ungrateful and not very present. Not very attractive right? I know this because I've lived it before.

Expectations will only poo on your parade. So let go and let LOVE!

Here are 5 Ways to Be Your Own Valentine

♥ Accept that YOU are responsible for your own happiness and it's a choice in every moment.

♥ Be present + be grateful for the reality you have created for yourself.

♥ Treat yourself to a massage, buy yourself a beautiful gift or a bunch of flowers. Spoil yourself rotten!

♥ Read the beautiful love poems of RUMI to inspire you or read my chapter on self-love in Adventures In Manifesting : Health and Happiness.

♥ Meditate and feel divine love. That's the real juice behind this life thing we're all experiencing at the moment.

Why The Word 'Hate' Will Drown You

Awakening by Sugarock99"I hate this...I hate that."

It's time to cut this nasty word out of your vocabulary. It's not serving you, it's drowning you.

Hate is a verb.

1. to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest: to hate the enemy; to hate bigotry.

2. to be unwilling; dislike: I hate to do it.

Words carry very powerful energy. Florence Scovel Shinn wrote in her book ‘Your Word is Your Wand’  that says:

Man's word is his wand filled with magic and power!

On the flight back from Sydney last week (when I went to see the amazing Dr. Wayne Dyer) I picked up a copy of the latest O Magazine (which was lovely) and a copy of a really trashy women’s fashion magazine. Sometimes I love to just get lost in the pages of a glossy magazine. There’s something therapeutic about  zoning out and reading all the funny fake + ridiculous stories about celebrities.

I’m not even going to tell you the name of this particular magazine - but what I read from the editor really put me off reading it again. In the editorial section, the editor greets this month’s readers with a sentence that says: ‘I hate New Year’s Eve’. And then she says the ‘H’ word again, followed by rambling about other things she dislikes.

Is she appealing to the mindset of the majority of readers? Do they associate with the negatively? Or should women’s magazines make more of an effort to enlighten their readers positively? (Please comment below)

I mean, it’s not like it’s Time magazine or O -  it’s a glossy fashion magazine... but the negative energy seemed to really affect me.

It’s cool not to like something and to consciously avoid it, but to hate is to disconnect yourself from the source of all good stuff. It’s halting your creative potential.

You might not even realise how often you use the ‘H’ word - but what I’d like to invite you to do today is reframe it every time you catch yourself describing how you feel about something that you dislike.

How many times a day do you say that you 'hate' something?

People often do it so subconsciously when they're agreeeing with the negative statements of others.

Example: "Oh, I hate that too." OR "I hate it when that happens."

Guess what? The Universe will respond to your energy and the word 'hate' to deliver more things you don't like very much. You get what you focus on. It's an age-old theory that's in all of the major spiritual texts in the world.

Sean and I are really good at catching one another out on the stupid shit we say sometimes. It’s as if we both catch the dysfunctional language pattern and reframe it the moment we hear it fly out of our mouths. Abraham-Hicks speaks of the 'emotional guidance scale' and that there is nothing more important than feeling good. Expressions of hatred will mess with your happiness.

Next time you go to use the ‘H’ word…think about what it does to your energy, your body and your life.

Have you heard of Dr. Masuru Emoto? Check out his beautiful experiments on water crystals and how they respond to language patterns with emotions behind then such as ‘LOVE’ or ‘HATE’. Since our bodies are made up of 90% water it will make you see how you can impact your body by consciously choosing to be more loving and positive.

Like this post or share it if you would like to help other people get rid of 'hate' out of their vocabulary.

With Love + Gratitude,

Sarah xx

I love Esther and Jerry Hicks

I have been a raving fan of Esther and Jerry Hicks for over five years now.

I remember seeing Esther featured in the original version of The Secret. Soon after, my mother gave me a copy of 'Ask and It Is Given' and I never looked back. This dynamic husband/wife team have transformed the lives of millions of people and I am so extremely grateful for their influence in my life.

If you haven't heard of them before, then the thought of a lady channeling a group of spiritual teachers (entities) from another realm might be a little bit crazy to get your mind around. Rest assured, their teachings will create a vibrant new reality for you if you're in the space to hear them with your heart.

Late last year the wonderful Jerry Hicks made his transition into the Non-Physical. On the same day I also lost another dear spiritual teacher of mine, Sri Bhai Sahib Ji. Their teachings were very similar, in the sense that they both amplified the importance of vibrational awareness and surrender in life. I guess a higher purpose was calling them both at the same time to leave this world and try something new.

"The basis of your life is freedom, the purpose of your life is joy."

Here is the essence of the Abraham-Hicks message, distilled from workshops with Abraham since 1986. (taken from Abraham-Hicks.com)

  1. YOU ARE A PHYSICAL EXTENSION OF THAT WHICH IS NON-PHYSICAL.
  2. YOU ARE HERE IN THIS BODY BECAUSE YOU CHOSE TO BE HERE.
  3. THE BASIS OF YOUR LIFE IS FREEDOM; THE PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE IS JOY.
  4. YOU ARE A CREATOR; YOU CREATE WITH YOUR EVERY THOUGHT.
  5. ANYTHING THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE IS YOURS TO BE OR DO OR HAVE.
  6. AS YOU ARE CHOOSING YOUR THOUGHTS, YOUR EMOTIONS ARE GUIDING YOU.
  7. THE UNIVERSE ADORES YOU FOR IT KNOWS YOUR BROADEST INTENTIONS.
  8. RELAX INTO YOUR NATURAL WELL-BEING. ALL IS WELL. (REALLY IT IS!)
  9. YOU ARE A CREATOR OF THOUGHTWAYS ON YOUR UNIQUE PATH OF JOY.
  10. ACTIONS TO BE TAKEN AND POSSESSIONS TO BE EXCHANGED ARE BY-PRODUCTS OF YOUR FOCUS ON JOY.
  11. YOU MAY APPROPRIATELY DEPART YOUR BODY WITHOUT ILLNESS OR PAIN.
  12. YOU CAN NOT DIE; YOU ARE EVERLASTING LIFE.

P.S. It is not necessary for even one other person to understand the Laws of the Universe or the processes that we are offering here in order for you to have a wonderful, happy, productive Life Experience — for you are the attractor of your experience. Just you!
